iBIS is UM's online Bioinformatics Integrated Services portal. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, user-friendly, and customizable interface for biological and biomedical researchers world wide.
Inside you will find links to genomic databases, protein structure databases, and clinical genetics databases, as well as to a wide spectrum of software tools for sequence analysis and the analysis of gene expression and gene regulation.
Access to most components of iBIS is freely available to anyone with an Internet connection anywhere in the world.
For the UM community, the portal offers online tutorials for the major databases and web tools, and the CCS Bioinformatics Program provides regular training workshops for new users. iBIS will soon allow access to a suite of locally available tools and databases that we maintain on CCS’s HPC servers.
